Wow, the kiss of _____ * from Sarah Palin for Tom Tancredo:Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin endorsed third-party American Constitution Party (I'm sure glad they specified "American"!) gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo this afternoon. In what appears to be a recorded message for get-out-the-vote phone calls, Palin says Tancredo is the "right man for the job." If he somehow wins, one can only hope he has the awesome staying power of Sister Sarah:Sarah Palin's bizarre bailout dooms her chances of ever being President, Republican mandarins said Friday - but she was already finished.
The Alaska governor's disastrous star turn as John McCain's running mate, followed by her lurching, controversial encore on the national scene, had already sealed her fate - except, perhaps, with the GOP's most far-right wing.
Still, the experts were unanimously stunned to hear her walk off the job with 16 months left in her term - shrinking her résumé even more and surrendering the best platform she has beyond her double-edged celebrity status.
* - value to be determined at a later date.

"Mail-in ballots are out... Save a little ink and leave the governor slot blank."
There is a new facebook group "Undervote Colorado's GOP primary". Their theory goes as such:
Theory of the "Undervote": by not voting for the either GOP candidate in the primary, a message should be conveyed to the victorious campaign: If you cannot get more votes than the local offices, you will not be able to get enough votes to beat Hick! Please step aside and allow a candidate to step in who can win in... November, check your ego at the door. Please invite as many of your contacts to "like" this page.
There have been three updates on the wall since the groups creation on July 24th. One update links to this Denver Post piece The Audacity of Tancredo which was not penned by Denver Post writer Chuck Plunkett who is a one of the 39 members so far in the group.
The group was created by Ross Kaminski from Rossputin.

(An excellent demonstration of exactly how uncooperative, childish, and closed-minded this racist man is. - promoted by Fong)
Article originally published at New Era News
Tom Tancredo knows how to create heat. His quotes, everything from seeing President Obama as the number one threat to America to the desire to see Mecca bombed, have defined a man that is now running for governor in Colorado as the candidate for the American Constitution Party.
The Interview
When I asked him what platform he's running on, he stumbled a bit and answered: "Freedom. Freedom in everything."
In regards to his choice to run as an American Constitution Party candidate, he simply said that they are able to put him on the ballot and that the current race was a mess, but failed to elaborate on any details of the party's ideals that might have appealed to him.
I couldn't help but bring up the controversial statement Tancredo had made several times that President Obama is the "biggest threat to America, even more than Al-Qaeda." In an interview with Megyn Kelly of Fox News, Tancredo based the above claim on Obama's inability to keep our borders protected and safe. Here is a transcript of our conversation about immigration from this afternoon:

One of the things that I always wonder when I see Republicans spouting guano crazy stuff is; do they really mean this or is it an act to enflame the their base? There is no way to tell as a general rule; even the half-governor of Alaska is wily enough to say some things that are guaranteed to be red meat for her Facebook followers without having to actually believe them herself.
However there are times when we do get to pull back the vale a little bit. One of those times was yesterday on the MSNBC's Ed Show. You have probably seen the clip of where Rep. Tom Tancredo called for sending the President back to Kenya since the First Lady calls Kenya his homeland. You might have seen the TMP TV clip where he tries to defend that by saying it is like saying "Let's send Carter back to Georgia". All of this makes it look like Tancredo is as serious as a heart attack about this Birther idea.
However, if you saw the whole interview (which is unavailable on line anywhere) you would have seen the opening which puts a completely different spin on things. Ed Schultz had just finished his Psycho Talk Zone segment, where he usually blasts some right-wing talker's insane blather. When Tancredo came on, was smiling and asked Ed, "What do I have to say to get into the zone?"

Yes, I'm stretching but it's Schultheis so I'm allowed.
If you haven't heard, the Republican Arizona House has passed a bill that would allow the police force (who opposed the bill) to commit racial profiling and arrest citizens who don't have their "papers".
Tancredo and Schultheis are all up in that. Tancredo wants the the Arizona bill to spread like a disease to the Colorado legislature but since Democrats in the majority aren't completely batshit, he thinks they'll have to put it on the ballot. Ho hum.
State Bill has Schultheis:
..."excited" that progress is being made in other states, because that may influence legislation in surrounding states. "I'm really excited about the fact that Arizona passed this new law. I think it's a major step towards trying to institute the rule of law in Arizona - I just wish we could do something like that here," said Schultheis.
He added that if the Legislature doesn't introduce such a measure next year, then he believes the people will take matters into their own hands. "If we try to run something like this next year and it fails, I think there will definitely be an initiative proposed to take care of it," said Schultheis. "The people want this kind of thing. Probably 80 percent of the population wants something done and they're very frustrated with the inaction of this Legislature."
Can't you imagine a paradise where you have to have your papers with you at all times or you run the risk of being deported? Perhaps we can eventually wear an emblem on our coats that signify whether or not we are citizens. Perhaps it could look like this:
