(NOTE: I will delete this post, retract, and issue a semi-sincere apology when evidence appears that Scott intended all along to moonlight with his old firm because he could not survive on the measly wages afforded SoS by Colorado's taxpayers.)
So it seems like newly elected Secretary of State and Tea Party Golden Boy Scott Gessler is being advised to pursue his blatant conflict of interest while at the same time getting a poverty pleading from the Independence Institute and saying that he was always going to have to moonlight at this old firm. Being the incompetent brilliant lawyer he is he just forgot to leave any evidence of that claim.
Let's roll the video:

So the big Reading of The United States Constitution was verbally abridged by House Republicans who felt some parts of this great document were not worth the effort, or maybe held some truths that were a little too self-evident.
Are we surprised that this is just one more bullshit show by Republicans who mouth the right stuff but fail when the principle is just a bit too much for them to stomach?
Thomas Jefferson would spit on these highly proficient bullshit artists.

I was driving to the Littleton Barnes & Noble today when I heard a radio ad in support of Amendment 63, the dreadful attempt by fringe "Coloradans" to kill HCR in our great state. I was surprised to hear that the ad was funded by the Independence Institute (no linky), an unpleasant, local organization hell bent on stripping away our freedoms while claiming they fight for them.
It was also odd because their fearless leader, Jon Caldera, recommended socialized healthcare to me just a few months ago.
