They really are clueless; the big-time journalists who live in the Washington, DC bubble and who watch Political Overlords from afar are just only Court Transcribers, nothing more.
I give you Chuck Todd, Idiot: "I admire how he's educated his audience on super-PACs. (But) I think he's making a mockery of the system. Is it fair to the process?" This is the same system that Senator Bennet faults all the while playing by its distorted rules and ensuring its anti-democratic results.
