This afternoon a series of tornadoes severely damaged areas of Colorado, in particular Windsor up to and into Wyoming.

The Red Cross Disaster Services field teams have already moved into the affected areas.  When something like this hits the people have no homes to go back to. They need clothes, shelter, food and other necessities.

Your contributions of money are needed immediately.  If you're willing/able to help, the Northern Colorado Red Cross is accepting cash donations.
Tomorrow, Friday, from 6am to 11pm the Mile High Chapter Red Cross will have its Disaster Services Call Agents accepting donations on the Channel 4 Help Center.

Your contributions are very much needed. The number of people without homes is staggering. I'm watching the TV right now and am shocked.  Mainly because we are not used to this type of tornado damage along the Front Range.  All of these people will need food, shelter, clothes and more for quite awhile until they are resettled.

Please contribute.

Pam Bennett, Red Cross Mile High Chapter, Disaster Services Call Agent.

I will be on the phones from 6-9am. Please Call.

From Betsy Markey (4.00 / 3)
In the wake of the devastating tornadoes that struck Colorado today, I wanted to ask for your help in the relief effort.

The Centennial Chapter of the American Red Cross, which operates in Northern Colorado, is working hard to provide appropriate emergency response services.

The Red Cross is seeking disaster relief funds that will support our friends and neighbors in need.

Please donate or volunteer if you can.

All of the victims are in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if we can do anything to help you.

Thank you.

Jared Polis statement (4.00 / 3)
Dear Friends,

Due to this afternoon's tornado touchdown in Northern Colorado, which includes a portion of the 2nd congressional district, I have suspended campaign operations for the rest of the day in order to focus on ways to help those affected by this disaster.

The Red Cross of Northern Colorado is currently responding to the tragedy. Please join me in making a contribution and looking for ways to help those who have been injured or displaced because of the destruction.

Visit the Northern Colorado Red Cross at http://www.northerncolorado.re... and contribute today.

Regards,

Jared Polis

Again, thank you for contributing.  If you havn't donated to the victims of this disaster, please do sometime today.  Channel 4 Help Center has more info and contact info.
