Senator Salazar was selected by the Democratic Party to deliver the "preview address" (also known as the "pre-buttal") to the State of the Union address. Here's a highlight:
Oh yes, Salazar delivered the speech in English as well. Still, Tom Tancredo predictably blew a gasket, saying "this is the kind of thing that would happen in a bilingual country - for instance, Canada." Despierta, Rep. Tancredo.
Ah, but Tancredo is only opposed to the "illegal" aspect of immigration -- it has nothing to do with having a problem with Latino culture. Riiiiiiiight. Anyway, someone ought to tell the headline writer at the Rocky Mountain News that while yes indeed, Wayne Allard is invisible, Tom Tancredo is in fact not Colorado's other senator. "Colorado Senators clash over Spanish speech" reads the headline there.
