... son of a big right-wing family here in Colorado, who was given money to go buy radio stations to get him out of the way.

Tancredo started his post-social studies-teaching career as head of the Independence Institute. (before he started ignoring his term limits pledges).

Someone should let the FCC know that a partisan radio station owner is blocking the airwaves from free speech...

Would the threat of going to the FCC be enough for Brown and NRC to back down?  To follow though would likely take time.  I wish I had connections at the FCC but I don't.  Do you want the blogitzens to start a-phoning and a-emailing?

This could get some good play on dkos especially if posted tomorrow morning.  Anything to stop talking about John Kerry!

Please confirm that you will immediately have all of your radio stations accept the Winter advertisements, as is consistent with your FCC licenses' requirements to promote free speech and equal time.

I am sending a copy of this to FCC Chairman Kevin J. Martin as well."

RightWingers lashing out at new Winter ad (0.00 / 0)

It seems the Winter campaign's new radio ad is hitting some nerves out there. RedState has a posting describing the ad as "despicable" (say it in a Daffy Duck voice to get the best effect.)

Our fantastic friends at Colorado Confidential have also picked up the story.

What will Tom's response be? Oh right, he's in Indiana tomorrow - not in Colorado with his constituents - campaigning for more of his extremist friends. (Check out the PDF flyer for the event).

One-Trick Tom not in Indiana? (0.00 / 0)

The only report I found on Hostettler's (R, IN-8 incumbent) "Rally in the Valley" mentions all the usual mindless goons (Jim Gilchrist, Bay Buchanan, and even Phyllis Schlafly), there was no mention of Tom Tancredo being at the rally. But I can't find any mention that he wasn't there either. Heck, he's a ghost candidate even when he's stumping for his extremist friends.

just as Jay Marvin warned us of yesterday.  Heard it at the 7am hour, using a woman's voice to get under our skin.

I know he is scheduled to have Bill on at 9am (just as I'm done with my 8 am and get to turn the radio back on).  I have no doubt that this is just a showboating effort on Tom's part, there are few if any listeners who would believe Tom's lies, but at least Bill is going to have the chance (for free, no less) to repudiate this ad.

But how will listeners on other stations react?

Oh, gag!  There it is.  Tancredo is using the nonsensical, contradictory Denver Post endorsement to support himself.  Of course no mention that the Poast cautioned One Trick Tom to adopt BILL WINTERS' moderate bipartisan position on border security and illegal immigration.
  I hope that the Winter campaign is suing NRC for breech of contract and abridgement of free speech!
