Dear Mr. President: You can blame Republicans for Gridlock without fear of Contradiction

His moderate Republican demeanor and refusal to confront current radical Republicans is not only troubling, but quite problematic for someone with a (D) behind his name:

"The bottom line is that President Obama has already revealed himself to be unchanged by the election and by the last two years of stonewalling by the Republicans. He still appears to believe, at best, in a milder version of orthodox Republican fiscal conservatism - an approach that would be a fitting starting position for a right-wing politician in negotiations with an actual Democrat. Moreover, he still seems to believe that the Republicans are willing to negotiate in good faith."

Following the recent Republican Bo(eh)ner Fail in negotiations over the Fiscal Cliff of Doom™, we get news that Obama threatened to blame Republicans for the lack of a bipartisan agreement:

President Barack Obama was reportedly so frustrated with House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) during fiscal cliff negotiations this week that he threatened to tell the country in his State of the Union speech that Republicans were at fault.

• Republicans are at fault.
• Republicans have been calling Obama names, lying about him, and have been determined to cause his presidency to fail from before his inaugural.
• Republican anti-democratic obstructionism in the Senate has been historic and malevolent.
• The American people are ready, willing, and able to already blame Republicans for their idiotic legislative actions.

Dear Mr. President: don't threaten to blame these creeps.

Just go ahead and blame them. We all agree.
