Susan Rice and Judicial Nominations: One more reason to Fix the Filibuster and un-break the Senate

by: Zappatero

Disgusting liars John McCain and Lindsey Graham made it clear they'd use Republican's key weapon - the filibuster - against Susan Rice if she were nominated for Secretary of State:

The key to this story is how Sen. John McCain, whose presidential candidate lost an election eight days ago, is using his media clout to create problems for Rice and the president.

Reporters cover whatever McCain does.

This morning, in a Fox News interview, he pledged to filibuster Rice. Hours later he called a news conference with Sen. Lindsey Graham (who has also promised to filibuster) and Sen. Kelly Ayotte (who has become the new Joe Lieberman of the McCain-led three amigos.)

McCain pledged to "do whatever to block the nomination that is within our power."

It worked.

But to be clear about this "Benghazi" stuff: Susan Rice, and John McCain and Lindsey Graham, all used the same CIA-approved and watered-down talking points to explain what happened to the American people.

This move by Obstructionist Republican Senators is purely designed to frustrate the will of the people, prevent President Obama from fully enacting his policies with his chosen personnel, and continuing to gum up the works in congress. This is just one more reason the filibuster should be eliminated.

Prevent Obstructionist, Anti-Democracy Republican Senators from abusing the filibuster.
