All Praise Bipartisanship, from the intertubes:
Her mother would have quite probably died last year if the specific change now being negotiated by Republicans and Democrats was in place: a brain tumor had substantially impaired her mental faculties to the point that she stopped making payments and lost her standing health insurance plan.
When a group of her closest acquaintances found out was happening they intervened.
This person's mother had just turned 65. And though it was a bureaucratic nightmare to expedite the coverage, they did.
She had brain surgery a few weeks later to remove a grapefruit-sized growth and is now happy and healthy....and alive.
Could that be one of your parents? A sick child? A friend, a neighbor?
Maybe.
Would this happen to our very-well paid and extremely-well-insured Legislators or their families?
I doubt it. |
