Fix the Debt? Citibank laying off 11,000 after receiving $45 BILLION+ Taxpayer Bailout

by: Zappatero

These big-time bankers are thieves and, though they aren't perfect, if you have any choice I'd recommend moving your money into a local credit union.

Big news yesterday was that Citibank is laying off 11,000 workers. The stock market loves that kind of stuff.

Citibank, under the immoral and obviously incompetent leadership of Vikram Pandit received big-time bailout money from you and me in the last few years:

Citi vows to use bailout money correctly

(That was the headline the reporter/stenographer took)

"Citi understands that (the bailout) is about helping the American people, and supporting U.S. businesses and our communities," Citi CEO Vikram Pandit said in the report.

Citi has received $45 billion from taxpayers in the last four months.

Citibank should refund the money to taxpayers and Pandit should be in jail and charged a Ritz-Carlton room rate for a black-hole of a cell.
