Repulicans declare war on school children
Oh this is hilarious. I just received this announcement from the Douglas County Republican Party - they are claiming that liberals want to take away parents' rights.I love the phrase "rudely" - it's called democracy. When you direct public dollars to private institutions that operate outside of public accountability in the midst of a budget crisis, citizens get a little pissed off!

Fellow Douglas County Citizens,

Outside liberal forces are coming down hard on the parents and citizens of Douglas County for having elected a conservative school board.  Using local, willing accomplices, this group has teamed with the ACLU and national union thugs to take away our parents' rights in education choices for their children.

Last month, they rudely took over Douglas County's citizen access to the school board by flooding the board meeting with over 300 union members all dressed in blue.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, they will be back -- this time dressed in war-paint red.

We need to demonstrate a greater outpouring of support for our champions on the school board than the left-wing radicals will show.  Conservatives outnumber liberals in Douglas County three to one.  Please encourage our elected school board members to hold to conservative principles by showing up Tuesday, February 21 at 6:15PM at Douglas County School District headquarters, 620 Wilcox in Castle Rock.

Get a seat and wear any color except red!

Thanks, all.

Mark Baisley
Chairman
Douglas County Republicans
