Did you all watch the Bennet/Buck debate tonight?

Unlike most debates, the candidates stated their positions on issues clearly.  Not much hedging.

Bennett came out strongly for stem cell research, strong pro-choice, strongly against DADT and gave a good example of one way to save money.  Buck came out against stem cell research, anti-choice, for partial privatization of social security and against financial regulation.

I thought Bennet won and was more likable.  I'd love to hear what others think.

Bennet vs. Buck
I actually like how Bennet actually votes. He has been steadily becoming more and more progressive in the eighteen months that he has been in Congress. In addition, he has been getting education for the staffers that he inherited from Salazar so that they know more about progressive issues.

However, his campaign is terrible. I glad that he did well in the debate. I am also glad that Buck attacked Social Security and in support of big banks because people hate those positions. I am glad that people could see how extreme that he actually is.

Let's see if he actually votes for the Dream Act
If the Dems frame this issue the correct way and don't let the Right Wing media get away with calling it amnesty then he might vote for it because it is the responsible and sensible thing to do.

As for the debate, I need to watch it now. I assumed that Buck's quick wit and charm would slaughter Bennet in a debate format. Bennet has my vote for policy alone, but I figured Buck would be much more likable.

Thanks for your input.

Senator Buck will give me a great sense of "Buyers Remorse" in the way that it would feel like my Senator was screwing me over.
