A tied poll used to claim a lead?

by: wade norris

(sorry to mention the blog who shall not be mentioned:) - promoted by wade norris)

There is a new poll showing Bennet 'has a lead' (41%-37%) even though this is within the polls' own disclosure that it is within the 4% margin of error.

I am calling it now - that Colorado Pols will trumpet this as a big deal and Team Bennet as well.
The Denver Post was more even handed with its title about Romanoff going up by 3% - 48% to 45% in the Survey USA poll -
by saying

"Romanoff pulls even with Bennet"

What's most likely, is that the Bennet campaign has been watching the dialogue here, on Political Wire http://politicalwire.com/archi... and Daily Kos, http://www.dailykos.com/story/...
where the Bennet narrative is taking a pounding.
It's obvious team Bennet is in spin mode in full force.

Regardless, they can't spin that a campaign that has been on TV for 4 months and spending millions has lost its double digit lead from a campaign with 1/4th the money and who has only been on tv a few weeks.
Despite Colorado Pols claim that money is the main reason Romanoff can't win, he has shown that his strong message with some money can and will beat Bennet's weak message with a ton of money.

Bennet's plunge shows his money does not stave off attacks based on his record, and certainly won't stand up to Republican attacks which will be composed of completely made up stuff.
