There's no denying that what Ken Buck said is really, really sexist

and the way the crowd guffaws at it is revelatory of the nature of the teabaggers as well.

Prepare for the jaw drop:

Question: Why should we vote for you?

Ken Buck: Because I don't wear high heels. She questioned my manhood, I think it's fair to respond.

Here's the video where she questions his manhood:

How far humanity hasn't come...

NEWSFLASH! Most men have no idea how sexist they are. The bit about "she questioned my manhood, I think it's fair to respond" is the worst part for me and it shows how much of a man he is not.

If you're the kind of wannabe Senator who responds to an antagonistic ad by stating the reason why he's worthy of your vote is because he doesn't wear high heels, then guess what, you're not a man and you're certainly not going to be a good legislator. If you think for a second that this is a respectable response to questions about manhood, then likely your manhood was lopped off either literally or figuratively.

The people I've seen defend Buck for his comment are so far off base and so quick to excuse his quip, I'm once again smacked over the head with the GLARING pervasiveness of our cultures obliviousness to gender equality issues. The way Ken Buck makes this comment is disgusting and archaic. If he's going to try to rationalize it by saying "she attacked my manhood", then I have no respect for this egomaniacal freak of nature.

Why did he leave out the key modifying phrase
I don't wear high heels, [in public.]
