The Bridge to Perjury was extended a little farther, as Sarah Palin trotted out the most discredited lie of this cycle. Speaking in Colorado, she once again denied the truth about her well documented support for "The Bridge to Nowhere"

Proving once again that the Republican strategy this year is to say that down is up, and to dare the media to say otherwise, Palin issued her signature slap in the face to reality:

Everyone, including FOX News' Chris Wallace, the Wall Street Journal, and The New Republic, have fact-checked this and found her claim to be garbage.

Attention Media: John McCain knows his campaign is lying, and does not care. They say you can go screw yourselves.

MSNBC:

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said this to the Politico about the increased media scrutiny of the campaign's factual claims: "We're running a campaign to win. And we're not too concerned about what the media filter tries to say about it."
Aaron Silverstein :: Palin feeds Colorado her favorite lie.

What does this bring the count to? (0.00 / 0)
There is a count on how many times she tells this lie in public. I think it about a dozen so far.

Found it (4.00 / 1)
Here it is. Count the lies!

Will the Colorado MSM (0.00 / 0)
report this for the lie that it is?  Or will they (gee, Dean Singleton still runs the 2 major dailies, doesn't he?) report it in the  "Sarah Palin repeated her contention that the sky is mauve, while the Obama campaign contends it is blue" vein?

Casey Mulligan

Singleton doesn't run the Rocky... (0.00 / 0)
...but the one who does is no better.

We also should watch to see if the Colorado media uncritically repeated her line that "she helps to oversee 20 percent of America's domestic oil and gas supply." FactCheck.org already has debunked that one, in detail:

Sarah Palin defends Bridge to Nowhere to Charlie Gibson (4.00 / 1)
Man. Talk about all over the board. Here Sarah Palin not only concedes implicitly that she was for the bridge, she then defends state and local officials who fight for pork. This after weeks of "Thanks, but not thanks." Which is it?

WSJ on Palin's earmark requests (0.00 / 0)
http://online.wsj.com/article/...
Last week, Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain said his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, hadn't sought earmarks or special-interest spending from Congress, presenting her as a fiscal conservative. But state records show Gov. Palin has asked U.S. taxpayers to fund $453 million in specific Alaska projects over the past two years.

Liars Club? (0.00 / 0)
Is that Dan Caplis standing behind her, clapping for her lie?

Yes... (0.00 / 0)
...and it's not surprising given his ongoing, on-air smears against Obama and his $1,000 contribution to the McCain campaign.

Oh, you didn't know about that? Apparently Clear Channel is fine with giving Caplis free rein to do political campaigning on the air without disclosing that he gave $1,000 to the McCain campaign.

Maybe people should call Lee Larsen and Kris Olinger at Clear Channel Denver and ask why this is OK.

How the hell.... (0.00 / 0)
...with the news media and the blogosphere attacking her nonstop over this can she repeat this today?

BTW, her voice is so shrill I can't even stand it.

If You Listen to Fools, the Mob Rules!!!!

i wouldn't expect anything less from .. (5.00 / 1)
Sarah Pinocchio.

she speaks with the inflections (0.00 / 0)
that a cousin of mine had at age 13 giving her Bat Mitzvah speech - in other words, very childish and sing songy.  it makes it harder to listen and discern the lies when you want to stick your fingers in your ears!
