Raised Taxes? Killed Jobs?

by: saindenver

If you have not seen it, the Republcan Governor's Association is trying to position Hickenlooper as a high taxing, job-ending politician.  It claims:
  1. Frontier moved because of high taxes
  2. 39,000 jobs lost due to Denver taxes
  3. 100,000 jobs lost due to taxes on gas and oil

We need to know more about the funding source of this group, publicize its inaccurate estimates of jobs lost.  Jobs were lost in Colorado and the United States due to the no-tax, no-regulation policies of the Republicans, and they need to be painted with this.

We have seen it :)
Squarestate is on top of it.

http://www.squarestate.net/diary/362/republican-governors-association-ad-against-hick-fails-truth-test.

Watch how it fails the truth test very infotaining.

But you're right, follow the money.

Just a hunch...
I suspect the Colorado GOP is putting a lot of eggs in the Governor's basket. After reading "The BluePrint" and the huge amounts of money it took to elect more Dems in the state legislature, the first thing that came to my mind was, "The cheapest way to stop legislation is to elect a  Governor from your own party. One guy/woman can undo the work of the entire legislative body by vetoing the bills".  I wouldn't be surprised if this is their strategy. The commercials are very consistent with it.  First, they spend a lot of cash making Hick and Ritter look like clowns, then tey will have McInnis with his new do and pearly whites show up looking like he's going to save the state.

I'm glad SquareState is on top of it, Fong. Anyone know if the state Dem party is?

My opinions here do not reflect any organization or group with which I may be affiliated.

I Think They Want Both
The legislature and the Governor's Mansion.  It will be a difficult campaign.
