Senate R's Filibustered Veterans Jobs Bill, prefer we go to war with Iran

Republicans always say they support the troops. When it comes time to actually support them it's another story. Four, five or six tours? No problem. Inferior body armor? No problem.

But when it comes time to truly support our vets in a concrete way by providing job assistance once they return home, it's a problem for Republican United States Senators:

(AP) WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans blocked legislation Wednesday that would have established a $1 billion jobs program putting veterans back to work tending to the country's federal lands and bolstering local police and fire departments.

They don't want more police in our communities. They don't want better fire response in our communities. Instead they support another war in the Middle East, with Senators Graham and McCain practically begging to bomb Iran:

This was a "bipartisan" bill - the ideal work product of our Masterful Senators Udall and Bennet. Yet Republicans fooled them once again and filibustered against support for our troops:

When will Democrats call the bluff of their "friends across the aisle"? When will Democrats learn they can't trust a word of what a Republican U.S. Senator says? When will Democrats like Bennet and Udall learn to be Democrats and stop trying to be Republican Lite?

Maybe after the last soldier comes home from Afghanistan.... a bipartisan war we should all love to death.
