| All of the regular readers on Square State know Fong. You know she is a passionate activist for many causes -- a thorn in the side to the status quo, one who makes us laugh, annoys us, charms us, and stirs the pot. Fong is everywhere -- volunteering for one progressive group or another -- manning tables, holding signs, planning meetings, etc. Fong is a progressive icon in Colorado. Love her, or love her not so much, she is an energetic powerhouse for the unions, education reform, animal rights, the Occupy movement, and much, much more. Fong's honest voice is refreshing, and we should encourage her as much as possible, IMHO.
I've nominated Fong for the Center for Progressive Leadership as an acknowledgement of all she does for Colorado. Tuition is $1050 for the year, and she can apply for a partial scholarship. http://www.progressiveleaders....
