Ex-Democratic Senator Chris Romer's Fundraiser Hosted By Republican Josh Penry

by: Fong

I'm so sorry I didn't have the $125 to $1000 suggested contribution to see Denver Mayoral Candidate Chris Romer lap up Josh Penry's teabagging. I bet the images I could have gotten at it could top this:

Why does Penry suck? If you don't know, soon you'll know:

Fong :: Ex-Democratic Senator Chris Romer's Fundraiser Hosted By Republican Josh Penry
A tiny taste:

On Senator Schultheis saying he'd rather see babies die from AIDS than legislate to protect them (you can't make this shit up, folks), Josh Penry says in defense of Schutheis "we should never lose sight of the humanity of people on the other side of an issue."

Crazy.

Josh Penry making shit up about oil and gas regulations.

Josh Penry doing his part to perpetuate racism and classism against prisoners..

And let's not forget that soon after joining Crazy Jane Norton's campaign as a chief advisor, this fear-mongering piece of shit came out:

So when Josh Penry supports a mayoral candidate like Chris Romer, you can be confident that that mayoral candidate is shaky (to say the least) with Democratic values (.pdf).

Well, this pretty much establishes Romer
as the OFA/DNC/CorporatePols/ProgressNever candidate in the mayoral race.

The combination of acronyms is hilarity.
Can we please have a little proof to back up our claims? Thank you!

Do or do not, there is no try.

It's more of a prediction
than a claim. Watch for "Pols" (aka ProgressNever) and its stable of resident alpha-trolls to steer and skew in favor of Romer, or at least to trash the other candidates with seemingly inexplicable fervor and mendacity.  If it doesn't happen that way, great. But past performance is usually a pretty good indicator of future behavior, and "Pols'" history is that of endeavoring to "clear the field" of progressives so corporate Dems can seize more power.

Darn. I was really hoping for more proof.
I wonder what the conversations are like over there in the upper eschelons. It's so fascinating to think about the strategizing amongst pols' sockpuppets and how their prevalence validates their multi-varied pseudo-nonymous perspective(s). And the way the others defend it is such a fascinating study in herd mentality!

Do or do not, there is no try.

It's hard to say.
All potential winners are Democrats. The most progressive one is only vaguely viable in comparison with the others so there's no reason to make enemies. A favorite won't be revealed until run-off but my bets are on Hancock since he's the most vile.

Romer is a tool.
He doesn't REALLY want to be mayor, he wants to be governor. Please let this legacy end already. We all know he isn't going to do anything except cut services and stack businesses. Fuck everyone!

Do or do not, there is no try.
