860KOA's prime-time radio host Rush Limbaugh, who destroyed his hearing with an illegal oxycontin addiction, took time out of his show in which he'd normally lie about Barack Obama, lie about Democrats, and lie about unions and Wisconsin and a multitude of other issues to lie about Michelle Obama and her recent trip to Vail:LIMBAUGH: I'm sure you're aware that nutritionist-at-large Michelle Obama is urging, demanding, advocating, requiring what everybody can and can't eat. She is demanding that everybody basically eat cardboard and tofu. No calories, no fat, no nothing -- gotta stop obesity. Except as in the case of all leftists, that's true for you, but not for them.
Michelle My Belle, minus the husband, took the kids out to Vail on a ski vacation, and they were spotted eating and they were feasting on ribs, ribs that were 1,575 calories per serving with 141 grams of fat per serving. Now I'm sure some of you members of the new castrati: "This is typical of what you do Mr. Limbaugh, you take an isolated, once in a lifetime experience, and try to say that she's a hypocrite." She is a hypocrite. Leaders are supposed to be leaders. If we're supposed to go out and eat nothing -- if we're supposed to eat roots, and berries and tree bark and so show us how. And if it's supposed to make us fit, if it's supposed to make us healthier, show us how.
The problem is -- and dare I say this -- it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice. And then we hear that she's out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per serving, yeah it does -- what do you mean, what do I mean? Limbaugh's lie was quickly debunked by an actual news organization that gives a shit about the truth, unlike 850KOA's management.
The NY Daily news did the dirty work: |
| Zappatero :: 850KOA's Limbaugh Lies about Michelle's Colorado Calories |
A restaurant owner in Colorado is calling for a calorie recount after conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh slammed First Lady Michelle Obama for a reported après ski pig out over the weekend.
The portly host called out Obama on his radio show Monday after it was reported she dined on 1,500 calorie-per-serving short ribs at the restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail, where the First Lady and her daughters were on a ski trip.
But the ancho chili short ribs were actually more like 600 calories, the owner, Kelly Liken, told the Vail Daily on Monday.
"A proper 5-ounce portion of protein is what nutritionists say we should have," she said, adding that braising usually cooks most of the fat off the meat.
Liken also pointed out that the dish came with a side of sautéed local kale, which was grown by students at a nearby elementary school.
"Kale is one of nature's super foods," she told the Daily. "There are more nutrients in the 3 ounces of kale we serve than you'll get in a massive green salad."
Plus, Obama and the girls may have earned a little splurge after spending the day carving up the slopes, which can burn thousands of calories.
Of course, facts only get in the way of Rush and many of his co-hosts at 850KOA (like Lou Pate - who probably has the highest lie/airtime ratio of anyone on the station), but like the addict he is Rush doubled down on his lie with a huge helping of racism:
"If You're Gonna Tell Everybody To Eat Twigs And Berries ... You Had Better Look Like An Ethiopian"
You won't hear KOA's management being held to account for the lies, the implicit racism, the limitless bile spewing over OUR AIRWAVES. In modern-day America if you make big bucks you're a God. Minorities, "libs", "thugs" and "uppity" Presidents (Rush's characterization) and their amazing wives and children (My characterization) can only hinder the seemingly insatiable greed of the Poor, Oppressed, White Male Majority in this country....which is why Rush is still on the air in Denver courtesy of 850KOA and its managers - none of whom have a shred of decency.
